World heritage sites in India recognised by UNESCO




There are 32 world heritage sites in India recognised by UNESCO. Out of them 25 are cultural heritage sites and 7 are Natural heritage sites. there are also 2 recently added in 2014.

1) Rani-ki-yav (Queen’s stepwell), ~ patan, gujarat added in 2014.
2) Great Himalyaya National Park ~ added in 2014. ~ Himachal Pradesh
3) Agra Fort, ~ Uttar Pradesh.
4) Ajanta Caves ~ Madhya Pradesh
5) Buddhist Monuments In Sanchi, ~ Madhya Pradesh
6) Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus ~ Mumbai
7) Churches and Convents Of Goa.
8) Elephanta Caves ~ Maharastra
9) Ellora Caves ~ Maharastra
10) Fatehpur Sikri , Uttar pradesh
11) Great Living Chola Temple ~ Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu
12) Group of Monuments at Humpi ~ Karnataka
13) Group of Monuments Mahabalipuram ~ Tamil nadu
14) Group of Monuments Pattadakal ~ Karnataka
15) Hill Fort Of Rajasthan. ~ added in 2013.
16) Humayun’s Tomb ~ Delhi
17) Khajuraho Group of Monuments ~ Madhya Pradesh
